Gökhan Sığın has been appointed as CEO of Vestel, effective as of January 19, 2026. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and holder of an MBA from University of Bristol, Sığın is recognized for his leadership roles in the consumer electronics and home appliances sectors across both Turkish and international markets. With nearly 30 years of experience, he has held various responsibilities in technology, innovation, and international management, with extensive expertise in organizational transformation, development of innovative business models, sustainable growth, and social development. In today’s increasingly competitive global environment, Sığın is expected to make significant contributions to transforming Vestel’s potential into strong and sustainable outcomes.

Zorlu Textiles Group attracted significant attention at Heimtextil 2026 with its design, quality, and sustainability-focused products

Zorlu Textiles Group participated in Heimtextil 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious international home textile fairs, held in Frankfurt between January 13–16, with its brands Zorluteks, one of Türkiye’s leading home textile producers, and Korteks, one of Europe’s largest integrated polyester yarn manufacturers. Throughout the fair, the Group’s stands attracted significant attention from industry professionals with their innovative collections, high quality standards, and sustainability-focused approach. During the event, Valeron once again demonstrated its strong position in the premium segment to international visitors through its high quality standards and timeless aesthetic vision. Zorluteks showcased its Zorluteks Curtain Collection, featuring high-quality curtains, while its licensed Disney Home collections received strong interest from visitors. Meanwhile, Korteks highlighted its environmentally focused approach on the international stage once again with products developed through sustainable production practices and innovative technologies.

The YaZ Program continues to expand with new artificial intelligence projects!

As one of the key pillars of Zorlu Holding’s digital transformation journey, the YaZ Artificial Intelligence Program is steadily evolving through innovative projects emerging from various business units. Applications developed within the program strengthen a data-driven decision-making culture while creating tangible value across multiple areas, from operational efficiency to customer experience.

Among the two newly launched projects under the YaZ Program, the VŞef Platform redefines the kitchen experience through artificial intelligence. Developed by Vestel, VŞef is a smart kitchen application that analyzes ingredients available at home and provides personalized recipe suggestions based on user preferences, dietary needs, and allergy information. Integrated with Vestel smart ovens, the system automatically optimizes cooking settings and adds required ingredients to a shopping list, enabling end-to-end digital management of the cooking process.

Another project, GES Production Optimization – Kızıldere Phase I Binary Turbine Optimization, developed by Zorlu Enerji, focuses on increasing production efficiency. This initiative aims to strengthen data-driven decision-making in geothermal energy production processes. By providing clearer insights into the relationships between variables affecting production, the application establishes a data-driven foundation for optimization efforts and offers an additional annual revenue potential of approximately USD 137,000 (150 kW) in electricity generation efficiency.

A new hub for university students from Zorlu PSM: “PSM Genç”

Zorlu PSM has created a new hub for young people to connect and create through its PSM Genç program for university students aged 18-25. Accessible through free membership via the Zorlu PSM app, PSM Genç was conceived with the idea of establishing a dedicated space for young people within Zorlu PSM, functioning both as a co-working area and a venue for events and gatherings.

Members of PSM Genç can use this space for studying during weekdays and attend events organized exclusively for the community free of charge. Launched under the sponsorship of Garanti BBVA Genç, PSM Genç aims to build a community centered on creativity, interaction, and sharing through workshops and gatherings with professionals.

Zorlu Enerji supports energy transition through R&D initiatives

Zorlu Enerji continues to strengthen its efforts toward energy transition at both national and international levels by positioning R&D and innovation at the core of its sustainable growth strategy. Through six R&D projects conducted by the Horizon Europe Programme of the European Union, the company has secured a total of EUR 2.41 million in grant funding, while simultaneously managing approximately 25 R&D projects across its group companies. Focusing on decarbonization, digitalization, and decentralization, these projects aim to develop innovative solutions in the fields of environment, energy, and digital technologies. With a broad integration network ranging from banking applications to meal card systems, the device accelerates businesses’ digital workflows. The new YazarkasaPOS model, now available at 1,200 Vestel stores across Türkiye, focuses on improving business processes through a single device, due to its Android technology, long battery life, and extensive software compatibility. The solution provides flexible payment and integration capabilities for businesses of all sizes, from mobile teams to retail chains.

Analytical artificial intelligence training at Zorlu Holding

Vestel Customer Services has been awarded the “Good Idea Award” in the sustainability category in the 9th CX Awards Turkey, with its “Plug & Play” service that enables fast and easy product installation for customers. The award-winning “Plug & Play” service allows customers to quickly and easily install and start using their products without waiting for an authorized service appointment. The service delivers a faster and more convenient customer experience, and also reduces carbon emissions and operational resource usage by minimizing service visits—providing environmental benefits equivalent to those delivered by more than 6,000 trees.

Zorlu Enerji Ranked First Globally in LSEG ESG Assessment

Zorlu Enerji ranked first worldwide among 346 energy companies in the 2025 ESG assessment conducted by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), based on 2024 financial data, achieving a score of 92 out of 100. This result demonstrates that the company’s strong performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas has been recognized on an international scale. The company particularly stood out in the environmental category through its efforts in combating climate change, improving resource efficiency, and investing in renewable energy. Zorlu Enerji also achieved high scores in both the social and governance dimensions.
