Vestel managed to maintain its uninterrupted export championship in the electrical-electronics sector again this year, with an export revenue of USD 2.6 billion. Vestel, the company with the highest number of exports in its sector for the 24th time, ranked 5th in country-wide export.

Zorlu Holding Chairman of the Board Ahmet Zorlu, who participated in the 2021 Export Champions Award Ceremony organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), received Vestel’s 5th-place award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the sector's first-place award from Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş. In his speech at the ceremony, Ahmet Zorlu said, “As Zorlu Holding, we continue to contribute to our country's economy by ensuring continuity in production, employment and exports. Vestel’s success chart is following a stable course thanks to its technology, innovation and export-oriented sustainable business model. I am proud of Vestel, which has been the export champion of its sector for 24 years on a row, and wish them continued success.”

Zorlu Tekstil, which became a United Nations Global Compact signatory last June, published the first sustainability report of Zorlu Tekstil Group, approved by the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), on June 13, 2022, on the Global Compact website as a reflection of this development. With the aim of a livable future, Zorlu Tekstil adopts the concept of “Regenerative Textiles for Nature and Humans” and aims to support the development of its sustainability strategy with this report.

Acting with the vision of being the energy company of the future, Zorlu Enerji crowns its efforts in this direction with prestigious awards. Zorlu Enerji, which received the Bronze Award at the Turkish Customer Experience Awards, took home the “Our Energy is Our Future” award at the Turkey Energy and Natural Resources Summit, while at the Communitas Awards organized by the International Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), it was named best in its sector in the “Leadership in Ethical and Environmental Responsibility” category.

Zorluteks, which carries out operations in a wide geographical area by exporting across five continents, and Korteks, Europe’s leading integrated and innovative spun thread production center, participated at the HOMETEX 2022 Fair. Zorlu Textile Group brands became the most visited stands at the HOMETEX Fair that hosted the leading textile brands from around the world at the Istanbul Expo Center. Zorluteks and Korteks also participated at the Techtextil 2022 Fair, which is considered as the most prestigious meeting of technical textiles within the global arena. Zorlu Textile Group brands took part in this context with their much-praised product range at the fair that hosted the latest products of textile technologies in Frankfurt, Germany, between 21-24 June.

Working with the vision of creating a more accessible and more equal world for everyone for many years, Vestel has taken yet another step towards this goal. Vestel, whose WeWalk, the smart walking stick developed by YGA youth in 2019, which opened up to the world by presenting the Accessibility Project at the United Nations (UN) in 2017 and was named the best invention of the year by TIME magazine, is now preparing to take a pioneering step in the sector with its collaboration with Blindlook. Thanks to this cooperation, 285 million visually impaired people around the world will be able to access Vestel products and websites and use them freely without any help.

Zorlu Holding continues to touch the lives of its employees with its corporate well-being program, Birlikte İyiyiz (Together, We Are Good). The holding first participated in the Wellbees Challenge step competition and became the second company with the most steps with 40 million steps. Birlikte İyiyiz (Together, We Are Good) did not forget about the employees who are excitedly waiting to become parents. Within the scope of Küçük Bi’ Mola (A Little Break), guests, who are experts in their fields, will continue to be hosted throughout the year, and enjoyable and instructive topics will continue to be discussed.
